Crowns & bridges

Crowns

Crowns are constructed to restore teeth that are heavily filled, discoloured, broken or crooked. A crown is simply a strong porcelain cover that is fitted over the tooth. Crowns are a great way of improving your smile. They are strong and extremely durable. Most Crowns are made of dental porcelain either with or without an underlying metal structure, so that the colour can be matched up with the rest of your teeth ensuring that the finished result is natural.

Bridges

Bridges are constructed to replace a missing tooth. The benefits of a bridge is that it prevents you from having a denture, but only if the surrounding teeth are strong enough to support the bridge. The Bridge is made out of dental porcelain so that it is tooth coloured and will be matched to your personal shade. There are different types of Bridges, but these can be discussed with your dentist to decide which option would be the most suitable for you.
